Concrete Painting & Staining in Bloomington-Normal
Give tired gray concrete new life. Patios, porches, basement floors, and walkways, cleaned, prepped, and coated with products made for concrete.
What we coat
- Patios and porches
- Front steps and stoops
- Basement floors
- Walkways
- Garage floors
- Foundation walls

Paint or stain?
- Concrete stain penetrates the surface and colors the concrete itself. It won't peel, and it keeps a natural, variegated look. Great for patios and walkways.
- Concrete paint and floor coatings give a solid, uniform color and can cover stains and patches. Good for basement floors, porches, and garages, where you want a clean, even look.
Prep makes or breaks concrete coatings
Most concrete coating failures come down to prep. Concrete is porous and holds dirt, oil, and moisture, and sealers or old coatings can keep new ones from bonding. We:
- Clean and degrease the surface, often starting with power washing.
- Check for moisture problems and existing sealers.
- Repair cracks and chips as needed.
- Open up the surface when the product calls for it, so the coating can bite in.
- Apply the coating in the right conditions and let it cure fully before foot traffic.
Concrete coating questions
How long before I can walk on it?
It depends on the product and weather. Light foot traffic is often possible within a day, with longer cure times before furniture or vehicles. We'll give you exact timing for your project.
Will painted concrete be slippery?
Some coatings can be slick when wet. For steps, porches, and pool areas, we can add a non-slip additive.
Can you coat concrete that was painted before?
Usually, yes. Loose or peeling coating has to be removed first, and we'll check how well the existing coating is bonded.
